Annual summer celebration at the McHenry County Historical Musuem. This summer favorite is held on the second Sunday in July and is packed with plenty to see and do.

• White Elephant Sale starts one hour earlier at 9 a.m.
• Antique auction with auctioneer Russ Davis moves to the morning at 10 a.m.
• At noon and 3 p.m. AWS certified quilt appraiser, artist, and teacher Sandy Schweitzer of Crystal Lake will demonstrate a quilt bed turning featuring patterns popularized on barn quilts.
• Pie-baking contest at 9:30 a.m., cake walks in the afternoon.

Baked goods, book, antique clothing, garden plants and white elephant sales continue throughout the day. Freddy Fredericks and other magicians will stroll the grounds throughout the day, with a special performances at 2 p.m. on the auditorium stage. Music will be provided by the Clef Hangers barbershop quartet and by Kevin Sarnwick.

“The James” mobile museum will be open and food is available. Admission is free. Residents of the village of Union will host garage sales throughout town.
