Are you a quilter or sewist? Come learn the heritage skill of hand quilting, the traditional method of joining the quilt top, batting, and backing fabric together using the rocking stitch.
Supplies provided by MCHS for the classes:
- Hoop
- Hand quilting needles
- Hand quilting thread
- Quilt Batting
- Fabric from the quilters’ donated stash
- Masking tape
Supplies for participants to bring to the first class:
- Snips or small scissors
- Thimble that fits comfortably on the middle finger of your dominant hand.
You will leave with a “practice quilt sandwich”.
