June 20th, 2 pm. Old Fashioned, 1860 baseball game at Prairie Grove park off Barreville and Ames Road. Civil War-era baseball game pits the McHenry County “Independants” against the Grayslake Athletics. Grayslake Heritage Center Executive Director Dave Oberg will umpire and emcee, explaining the rules and teaching the audience to cheer and jeer in proper 19th -century fashion.

(Away game in Grayslake at 4 p.m. Aug. 29). At Central Park, Grayslake. To get there take Route 120 east to Route 83 north. Turn left on Center Street and right on Library Lane. The field is near the Esper Petersen Family Aquatic Center.
