Keep an eye on our calendar for the next Quit Appraisal Day in 2014, it’s coming soon…
Join us for an afternoon of quilt appraisals, conducted by Crystal Lake quilt appraiser and author Sandy Schweitzer. The 15-minute verbal appraisals will be in the research library of the museum, 6422 Main St., Union. A donation of $30 to the historical society is requested.
Schweitzer is a highly regarded quilt artist and teacher, as well as American Quilt Society certified appraiser. Her presentations, which are open to the public, are informative and entertaining. Much like “Antiques Roadshow” viewers will learn about each quilt’s history, pattern and construction. Schweitzer has lectured extensively and also offers a variety of workshops. For information visit www.quiltappraisalsplus.com.
There are 12 slots available on a first come, first served basis. Pre-payment by check or credit card is required, with all proceeds benefiting the society. Participants receive free admission to the museum, as do society members. Nonmembers pay a small admission charge.
